Expression of Creativity via Advertising


What I talk about from day 1 till now, it's all about creativity. It's about what is creativity, how to be creative, how to think creatively, ways to be creative. Now, as the last post of my assignment, I will talk about how to express your creativity towards the society! That's right, this will be my last assignment post, after that, this blog shall be privatized!

The first and most important way to express your creativity, is to choose the right media! As we all know, in this century, everything is about internet, almost every person in the world has a Facebook account. CD, TV, advertising board are used to be the mainstream media, but now they are no longer have any value. On the other hand, internet had replaced the mainstream, especially social network, such as Facebook, Twitter, and YouTube. So, if you ever wanted to express your creativity to the society, internet will be the best media.

However, it doesn't mean that the society will necessarily accept anything you put on the internet. That's the cruel side of internet. Your idea must be interesting enough to attract people to spend their time to enjoy your creative work, or else you'll ended up like those videos in YouTube that have less than 100 viewer, but when your idea is SO special, yet creative, you'll get the viewer's number you deserved.

Who knew this MV can attract so many people to watch? Nearly 1/8 of the people in the world had watched this video at least once, that make's PSY became the world's most influential person in a blink of eye! Everyone knows his signature dancing style. This is the power of internet, it can make you famous in just a sudden and you don't even realize it. Within the power of internet, the social network occupied a great place. No advertisement is more efficient than people themselves, despite the credibility of TV, radio or other media's advertisement, people would rather trust the recommendation of their friends and family. When McDonald posted a advertisement of a extremely delicious looking burger, is it really that delicious looking when you seriously order it?



No! It's nothing but a commercial fraud, but yet, you've 
bought the burger, that's what they want though. The commercial fraud had became so common that the people had long lost their faith in those advertisement anymore, but in other perspective, when your friends told you that the McDonald burger is really gorgeously delicious, you'll probably find yourself rushing to the nearest McDonald franchise already. That's the difference of company advertisement and social advertisement, and the social network had created a perfect stage for social advertisement.


The internet had prepared everything to make you famous, the only thing that left is your creative work! When your work is eye-catching enough, it will trigger people's curiosity and start looking at it, if it is nice, the people will start promoting it to their friends, and their friends will promote to their other friends, and eventually, your creativity is expressed to the society! Mission accomplished!






No advertisement is more efficient than people themselves.
